RailClick continues to expand its reach across Latin America, connecting with travel professionals and exploring new opportunities for international rail distribution in one of the region’s most dynamic travel markets.

RailClick recently visited Bogotá, Colombia, as part of its ongoing international expansion across Latin America. Together with Sales International team, they visited and provided an opportunity to meet with local travel professionals, present RailClick’s international rail portfolio, and explore new opportunities to bring train products closer to Colombian travelers.

Colombia: a growing market for international travel

Colombia has become an increasingly relevant market for international tourism and outbound travel. According to ANATO, 5.8 million Colombians travelled abroad in 2025, representing a 4.3% increase compared with 2024. Spain was the second most popular international destination, with 812,000 departures and 14% of the total, while destinations such as Brazil, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Peru also recorded significant growth. The trend has continued into 2026. Between January and April 2026, international departures by Colombian citizens increased 12.6% compared with the same period in 2025, according to figures from Migración Colombia cited by ANATO. Around 20% of Colombian outbound travelers in 2025 travelled to Europe and Asia, highlighting the relevance of these regions for the Colombian international travel market. ANATO

The importance of the travel sector is also reflected in Colombia’s wider economy. Preliminary figures from the Colombian Tourism Satellite Account show that tourism generated COP 54.7 trillion in spending from international visitors in 2025, an 8.4% increase compared with 2024. The tourism sector also supported more than 995,000 jobs, including 37,713 associated with travel agencies. ANATO

For a company focused on international rail distribution, these developments represent an important opportunity.

Bringing international rail closer to Colombian travel professionals

During the Bogotá visit, RailClick connected directly with professionals from the Colombian travel industry to present the platform, its international rail network and the possibilities available to agencies looking to expand their offer beyond air travel.

RailClick brings together train operators and rail products from different markets in one platform, making it easier for travel professionals to search, compare, and book international rail journeys for their customers.

This is particularly relevant for Colombian travelers planning trips to Europe and other long-haul destinations, where rail can become an important part of the journey — from high-speed connections between major European cities to scenic routes, night trains and multi-country itineraries.

For travel agencies, having access to a wider range of international rail products also creates opportunities to build more complete itineraries and offer customers alternatives that combine different modes of transport and destinations.

Building connections in Latin America

Being present in markets such as Colombia is an important part of RailClick’s international strategy. Beyond introducing a platform or a product, these visits allow the team to understand local market needs, exchange knowledge with travel professionals and build relationships with partners who know their customers and markets.

Bogotá provided another opportunity for RailClick to connect its global rail offering with a growing outbound travel market — and to continue building the network of relationships that supports its expansion across Latin America.

A special thank you to everyone who welcomed the RailClick in Bogotá, and to Sales International team for continuing to build new connections and opportunities across the region.

More markets, more connections and more possibilities. 🚆🌎
